A genuinely simple dump recipe built around chicken drumsticks (or legs): season with oil, chilli flakes, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, tip into the crockpot with whole garlic cloves scattered around, pour over a little chicken broth, and walk away. Most of the exact quantities weren't stated on camera since it's a by-eye recipe, but the method and cook time are clear.
Ingredients
- 6 pieceschicken drumsticks (or legs)
- garlic cloves, whole, peeled, left whole
- chicken broth
- olive oil
- Italian seasoning
- red chilli flakes
- salt and black pepper
Method
In a bowl, mix the chicken with the olive oil, Italian seasoning, chilli flakes, salt and pepper until evenly coated.
~5 minPlace the chicken in the crockpot in a single layer (a crockpot liner is optional here).
~3 minScatter the whole garlic cloves randomly around the chicken.
~2 minPour the chicken broth into the pot.
~1 minCover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, until the chicken is tender and pulling away from the bone. Check in every couple of hours if you want to keep an eye on it.
